Herb Reiser started an insurance agency in Butte, NE in 1968. Herb enjoyed working with people and as his sons were already working on the family farm, he pursued other avenues.
Herb purchased the Virgil Laursen Agency in O'Neill on January 1st 1971.
The agency continued to operate from Virgil Laursen's office until 1973 when it was renamed Reiser Insurance Agency and moved to the Ryan Building on So. 4th St. When the agency grew out of that office, we moved to the current location at 217 So. 4th St.
The business has continued to be successful and Herb's son Steve joined the firm in 1976. Steve enjoyed a 5 year career working in Frit's Auto Body Shop before joining the agency.
The future looks bright for Reiser Insurance as Steve's son Craig joined the family business in August, 2005. Craig marks the 3rd generation of insurance agents.
Reiser Insurance is proud to be part of O'Neill and the surrounding communities. Insurance is a viable need for the community and we want to continue to serve the insurance needs of our customers and community in the future.
We are members of Trusted Choice and also members of the Independent Insurance Agents of America. We are teamed with the Red Cross through the IIAA or Big I to help volunteer with local disaster relief.
